MADRID

Although tired and slightly sick from our long bus ride, we could not wait to explore Spain further. We had nothing but incredible memories from our time spent in Barcelona and Granada and we were eager to add to these.

Our first day in Madrid and we set off to explore the street markets- supposedly the biggest markets in all of Spain. After browsing stalls for hours and scoring some intense bargains (hello three dresses for two euro) we stopped for some tapas, and to drink our body weight in sangria. This seemed to be our routine in Spain; eat, drink, shop, drink more, peruse museums, eat more and top all of that off with more Sangria of course. We spent the next few days doing just this and after stuffing myself completely with all of the above we forlornly farewelled Spain and headed off to Bordeaux.
